SanfyStudios, an independent developer based in Italy, operates the Android game Tormentful Depths (com.tormentful.depths, the “Game”). This policy explains data processing in the Game and when you contact us for support. Contact: sanfystudios@gmail.com.
The Game has no studio-operated player accounts, login system or game server. Your settings, progress, saved run, coarse age group and local purchase-entitlement preference are stored on your device. The Game does not upload those preferences or your saved run to a SanfyStudios game server.
Android backup and device-transfer services may preserve or restore app data according to your device and account settings. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes the installed local copy; it does not guarantee deletion of every operating-system backup or Google's separate advertising and billing records.
The Game does not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone or GPS location. Advertising services can infer approximate location from network information without GPS permission.
The Game is intended for players aged 13 and older. The age controls in this section apply to version 1.0.15 and later; earlier installed versions may not include these controls. A neutral screen asks for one of three coarse groups: under 13, 13–17, or 18 and older. No birthday or precise age is requested. The chosen group is a local preference.
Until an eligible group is provided, the Game does not make advertising or consent-SDK requests. Selecting under 13 persistently blocks gameplay and new purchase offers on that installation. Selecting 13–17 applies Google's teen-restricted advertising treatment and its under-age-of-consent flag. The corresponding treatment flags are sent to Google's SDKs; the Game does not send a birthday or the locally stored group string. Eligible players can revisit their group in Settings; existing cached ads are invalidated when treatment changes.
These are self-declared age controls. They are not identity verification or a guarantee of a player's actual age. If you believe a child has provided data through the Game or its services, contact us so we can investigate the information available to us and help identify the relevant service provider.
The Game uses Google AdMob for occasional interstitial advertising after a run and optional rewarded advertisements for revival. When advertising services are used, the Google Mobile Ads SDK and relevant partners may process network-derived approximate location, advertising or other device/app identifiers, ad and app interactions, and technical diagnostics. This processing supports ad delivery and measurement, analytics, security and fraud prevention. The applicable information depends on age treatment, consent choices, region and serving configuration.
We receive ad-performance reports through AdMob. The Game does not operate a separate studio advertising-profile database. Advertising providers have their own processing and retention practices. Our configured partner list may change; where the consent form is shown, its partner list and options describe the configured choices. A lack of custom mediation groups does not mean that Google is the only advertising partner.
The Game integrates Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Eligible players are offered the applicable consent or privacy-options flow where Google's configured requirements call for it. Advertising requests are gated on UMP confirming that ads can be requested. Ad content is restricted to Google's General Audience maximum rating.
Declining personalization does not necessarily stop every advertising-related data transfer. Depending on your choices and Google's eligible serving modes, advertising may be restricted or unavailable. We do not promise that a refusal always produces ordinary non-personalized ads or that all advertising collection is optional worldwide.
Where UMP requires a privacy-options entry point, you can open it from Settings → Health & Safety → Ad Privacy Options. Android's advertising settings also let you reset or delete the advertising ID. Those controls do not necessarily erase all previously processed provider records.
The applicable consent form and provider notices explain the providers' purposes and legal bases. This policy does not assign a blanket legitimate-interest basis to all non-personalized advertising or claim that all advertising is exempt from consent requirements.
The optional, one-time Remove Ads purchase uses Google Play Billing. It disables forced interstitial ads; optional rewarded advertisements for revival remain available. Google handles payment processing. The Game receives product and purchase-status information to grant, acknowledge and restore ownership; it does not ask you to enter payment-card details or a billing address into a SanfyStudios form. No developer receipt-upload service is implemented.
Google Play's own records and retention practices are separate from the Game's local ownership preference. Clearing local data does not erase a Google Play purchase or Google's billing records.
If you email sanfystudios@gmail.com, we receive your address and any information or attachments you choose to include. We use this correspondence to answer your request, investigate technical problems and handle related rights requests or disputes. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
We process ordinary support correspondence on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to a voluntarily submitted request and resolving technical problems, and where applicable to comply with legal obligations. We retain it while handling the request and for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve related problems, disputes or legal obligations. We delete correspondence that no longer serves those purposes.
Google and relevant advertising partners receive data through the integrated advertising services. Google Play processes purchase transactions. Our email provider processes correspondence you send to the support address. Advertising data processing can include personalized or cross-context advertising where the applicable choices and requirements permit it; we do not make an unconditional statement that no data is ever shared for those purposes.
Provider processing may take place outside your country. Consult their notices for their retention periods, international-transfer safeguards and available rights:
You can clear the Game's local storage in Android settings. Manage Android backups separately in your device/account settings. For studio-held support correspondence, contact us at the support address. We will consider applicable access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability requests and any necessary identity check proportionately to the request.
For Google's advertising, account and billing records, use Google's privacy controls and request processes or contact the relevant provider. We cannot directly erase another provider's independent records. We can help explain the Game's integration and direct your request appropriately. The Game has no studio player-account deletion process because it has no studio player accounts.
You may also complain to your competent data-protection authority, including Italy's Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
The Game relies on Android's application storage protections and Google's advertising and billing infrastructure. Google states that data collected by its Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. No electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
We may revise this policy as the Game and its integrations change. The published revision will show its actual effective date. Contact SanfyStudios in Italy at sanfystudios@gmail.com with questions.
